Getting started
Drop images, GIFs, or videos directly onto the canvas. You can also drag folders, paste images from clipboard, or import via URL. Files stay local — nothing is uploaded to any server.
Selecting & moving
Click to select an item. Shift+click to add to selection. Drag to move. Hold Shift while dragging to constrain movement to an axis. Drag a selection box on empty canvas to rubber-band select multiple items.
Swapping images
Hold Alt while dragging a single image onto another — they swap positions.
Resizing
Select an item and drag its corner or edge handles. Hold Shift while resizing a corner to lock the aspect ratio.
Cropping & editing images
Double-click an image to open the image editor: pan, zoom, and rotate the image inside its frame. Click the crop tool in the left toolbar for quick access.
Navigating the canvas
Scroll to zoom. Hold Space and drag to pan (or use the Hand tool). Press Enter to fit the selection, or ⌘0 to fit all. Press Tab to hide the UI for a clean preview.
Saving & opening
File → Save exports a .mb project file containing all your images. Open it again with File → Open or by dropping it onto the canvas. The canvas is also auto-saved in your browser's local storage.
Merging projects
Drop a .mb file onto a canvas that already has content — it merges the images in without replacing anything. You can also use File → Merge Project.
Exporting
File → Export renders the moodboard as a high-resolution PNG. You can choose the output width. Export individual images as a ZIP via the Export panel in the left toolbar.
Optimise layout
Press O or use View → Optimise Grid to automatically pack selected images (or all images) tightly together with no gaps.
